Chart Area

The chart area is the main wrapper of the chart. This is the background on which everything else is placed, including the series and axes, chart title and legend. It is controlled via the following ShieldChart’s object inner properties:

  • AreaBackgroundColor - Specifies the color of the data area (the plot) of the chart.
  • AreaBackgroundImage - Specifies an image addres, to be used as a background for the chart data area.
  • AreaBorderColor - Specifies the border color of the data area of the chart.
  • AreaBorderWidth - Specifies the thickness of the border, surrounding the chart’s data area.
  • AreaPaddingBottom - The distance in pixels between the chart data area and the bottom border of the whole chart.
  • AreaPaddingLeft - The distance in pixels between the chart data area and the left border of the whole chart.
  • AreaPaddingRight - The distance in pixels between the chart data area and the right border of the whole chart.
  • AreaPaddingTop - The distance in pixels between the chart data area and the top border of the whole chart.
