JAVA Apache Wicket Editor Setup

The ShieldUI Editor Apache Wicket component offers streamlined setup for the WYSIWYG rich text editor widget.

Since it is a wrapper of our JavaScript Editor component, you need to include the references to the CSS and JavaScript resources in the HEAD section of your webpage:

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<title>ShieldUI Editor</title>
<meta charset="utf-8" />

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="css/light/all.min.css" />
<script type="text/javascript" src="js/jquery-1.10.2.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="js/shieldui-all.min.js"></script>

</head>
<body>

<textarea wicket:id="editor">
    Hello World!
</textarea>

</body>
</html>

Then init the component and add it to your wicket page like in the following example:

Editor editor = new Editor("editor");
add(editor);

editor.getOptions()
    .setHeight(400);
